Hello! We have a lot of great news to report since our last update. First, we welcome fiddle player and vocalist Suzanna Barnes to the band! She is a very talented musician and we are happy for her to join us. The announcement came during our sold out CD release event at Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center. We had a great time and were very excited to share the breaking news there. There is a photo album of the event on Facebook. You can learn more about Suzanna on our bio page. The CD is doing well, with "Rocks In The River" making the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart for the week of July 11th. We were also very pleased to find the album debut on the Roots Music Report Weekly Airplay Top 50 Bluegrass Chart at #8 for the week of July 15th. Thanks to all of the broadcasters for their airplay and our fans for the requests. We cannot thank you enough for your support.
CD reviews and interviews continue to be posted. Missy is featured with airplay and an interview this week on Great Stuff Radio with Gene Skinner. Check their website for affiliates and listen in if possible. The latest album review was posted on the Twangville music blog, and another from City Beat. Both made some nice comments and we thank them for taking the time to listen and write. Many thanks to The Bluegrass Situation for their song feature of "Wish I Was" on their site, and we also thank Mandolin Cafe for featuring our instrumental, "Snake In The Grass" on their MP3 page.
Our next CD release event is this Saturday, July 26th at Plain Folk Cafe at 7:30 pm. They are great folks and we always enjoy an excellent time when we perform there. We hope that you can attend if you're in the area.
